On September 8, Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, best-selling author of the new book, The Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Solution, launched the Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Practitioners Network (FFPN). FFPN is made up of health care practitioners from different backgrounds who want to treat chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and fibromyalgia (FMS) using Teitelbaum’s research-backed “S.H.I.N.E.” treatment protocol. Teitelbaum has conducted extensive research on ribose’s effectiveness on severe forms of fatigue.

Practitioners join the FFPN by signing up for an eight-module online course created by Teitelbaum that provides specialized training on diagnosing and treating CFS/FMS. Upon course completion, practitioners are added to the FFPN practitioner referral database (a web-based global service used by prospective CFS/FMS patients to find trained practitioners) and begin receiving special FFPN member benefits that help them grow their practice.

Health practitioners of any discipline can join the FFPN. Those who may find membership especially beneficial include:

• MD, DO, ND, NP and PA

• Those who do chiropractic, massage, physical therapy or other forms of manipulative/physical therapies

• Practitioners of NAET, energy healing, or LAc

• Nutritionists

• Or simply any health practitioner or health coach looking to help those with CFS, fatigue and fibromyalgia

The web-based course includes training in:

• Sleep optimization

• Thyroid, adrenal and reproductive hormone support

• Candida management

• Optimizing nutritional support

• Special dramatically effective energy nutrients, including ribose

• Pain management

After completing and passing the online course exam, FFPN members will be experts in diagnosing and treating CFS and fibromyalgia, and have the tools needed to begin helping people immediately. Their names and practice will be added to the FFPN international practitioner referral list, one of the most active CFS/FMS referral lists in the world. They will also be eligible to participate in future workshops for advanced training in CFS/FMS and other topics such as effective pain treatment, how to improve function in people with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and how to give patients an “Executive Tune Up” (in which, unlike a traditional yearly checkup, the goal is to help the patient actually feel better). These programs will also be aggressively promoted to the public, further increasing patient referrals.
